Making the most of the EU

Getting the economy going again is something the current government is unwilling to fund by taxing the rich who invest/spend outside the UK, paying a living allowance to the poor and disabled or commissioning useful public works.

I wonder if the government have considered the vast numbers of historic monuments that might be eligible for restoration under EU grants. This could inject income, provide employment, enhance the skill base of UK workers and improve the state of our tourist traps whilst recovering some of our EU contribution.
